Lextant January 27, 2012 at 1:24 am

For mapping, How do I assign an effect to only work when I hold down 2 pads?

mrcuss January 27, 2012 at 2:37 am

@mrcuss

thank you so much for everything!!! i have absolutely everything down exactly how i want it ! :) only problem is the damm jog wheels = but i guess i can keep trying to figure it out as they dont work for searching or tempo bending for me :/ but thank you again!

@TheCalikiddd Glad you have the MIDI figured out. Once you get your head around Traktor its not so bad.
The audio routing in Traktor is also quite logical. Good luck and sorry i cant help you further without knowing your exact settings…

mrcuss January 27, 2012 at 5:44 am

Sorry if this is obvious but you havent given me much to go on…
Ensure Traktor is set to ‘Internal’ by selecting ‘Preferences/Output Routing/Internal’.
Making sure your device is selected as your MIDI device, Select ‘Preferences/Control Manager’ and ‘Add In’ a new control.
‘Add In / Mixer / X-Fader’ then follow the usual steps. Learn, move fader. Close preferences.
Make sure that you have the correct channels select in the small square boxes either side of the fader in Traktor.

@mrcuss
so i was just wondering if u could tell me exactly what setting you have for your main fader. Because i dont know how to split it into two decks. Just one. if u understand where im coming from?

TheCalikiddd January 27, 2012 at 7:09 am

@mrcuss
no there are absolutely no midi maps for the Mixdeck sadly. HOWEVER i have gotten all the decks working . left right & middle. The problem im struggling with now is that the vloume is only coming out of the left deck. it looks likw a simple seeing as if i tweek the midi mappings and i move the fader to the right deck i hear the tiniest bit of music coming from my speaker

mrcuss January 27, 2012 at 7:17 am

@jhoshom This is Just Traktor Pro. NOT Pro 2.

mrcuss January 27, 2012 at 7:47 am

@TheCalikiddd Sounds as though the Numark MIDI map you have is only configured for 2 Deck Mixing. Have you tried Numark Forum for a 4 Deck MIDI Map or do you have more MIDI maps that you are able to download from the Numark Site?

jhoshom January 27, 2012 at 8:29 am

i question !! wich traktor pro is this?? cuz i need to download …. i have a oxigen8 ( use for house tech/psytrance) plz! Good vibes :D

TheCalikiddd January 27, 2012 at 8:57 am

@mrcuss
Its called a Numark mixdeck. when i went to preferences and I hit import. It opened a file where u can choose your device but when i Hit “Numark” it doesnt show the Mixdeck. And midi mapping works perfectly fine for the left and right Deck but not the middle !! If u can help In any kind Of way i would appreciate it immensly

mrcuss January 27, 2012 at 9:19 am

@TheCalikiddd What controller / Mixer are you using?

TheCalikiddd January 27, 2012 at 9:38 am

Thank you so much for this video. It really helped me and saved me a ton of time trying to figure this out. The directions on this thing are soo bad.

LittleBoy943 January 27, 2012 at 11:03 am

moodphase5 January 27, 2012 at 11:30 am

Is it possible to map one control sequence for mixing and another for effects and switch between them during a set, using the effects in the middle of a track and then switching the tsi file to give you mixing controls as the track plays out and you want to bring the next one in?

fruit snacks

mrcuss January 27, 2012 at 1:32 pm

@TheKon1 When i say yes to your question i mean that if you had 1 file that applied the same mapping you want to each deck.
There is no way that i know of to duplicate mapping preferences and apply them to other decks. Sorry.
